Ingredients
- cauliflower 250 g
- chicken breast 130 g
- oil 4 g
- salt, pepper, paprika
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 200°C. Cut the cauliflower into small florets and the chicken breast into equal-sized cubes to ensure even cooking.
- In a bowl, mix the chicken and cauliflower with the oil, salt, pepper, and paprika. Massage the ingredients so the seasonings adhere well.
- Spread the mixture on a baking tray lined with parchment paper, in a single layer. Bake for 20-25 minutes until the chicken is browned and the cauliflower becomes slightly crispy at the edges (caramelization process).
- Serve warm, optionally with some fresh herbs on top.
This recipe leverages the benefits of cruciferous vegetables, cauliflower being rich in sulforaphane and indole compounds that, according to biochemical studies, support hepatic detoxification processes and estrogenic balance. The combination with chicken breast ensures a complete amino acid profile necessary for protein synthesis occurring during sleep. From a metabolic standpoint, cauliflower offers large food volume with minimal glycemic load, which helps regulate leptin (satiety hormone) levels. Oven cooking enhances natural flavors without generating pro-inflammatory compounds, making this dish an ideal option for reducing systemic inflammation and maintaining optimal body composition.
